Grammy Award winner Melanie Fiona recently performed an acoustic cover of Whitney Houston's "One Moment In Time" for Billboard's tribute series commemorating the 1-year anniversary of the singer's passing. The performance, which was punctuated by Fiona's sincere expressions of love for Houston - paid tribute to the vocal power she possessed.
“I feel like it is one of the greatest songs that she has and that has kind of ever been written,” said Melanie. “It’s almost like the forgotten gem of her catalog…and I feel like this record is just so powerful and has such a positive message. I think that people need to hear that and be reminded of that.”
Fiona's voice filled the space left open by the stripped down performance of the acoustic guitar as she belted the timeless lyrics. Her performance proving just how much of an inspiration the late singer truly was.
