Last Friday, Billboard hosted a panel discussion of sorts, gathering the likes of Questlove, Spike Lee, Toure, Anthony Hamilton, Kimbra, Alan Light and more to speak to the the prodigious, prolific and eternally purple legacy of Prince. Each of these individuals has either worked with or, at the very least, been in the presence of His Purple Majesty for a period of time long enough to leave an impression and story to share with the world, some reluctant to do even that with how heavy the loss of the icon has weighed down on them.

Nonetheless, these pioneers of their respective mediums and industries pushed forward through an emotional hour-plus discussion that found them reminiscing over their nearest and dearest memories of Prince. Kimbra, who was presented her 2013 Grammy for Record Of The Year by The Purple One himself, caught the feels as she remembered her encounter with Prince and him putting his stamp of approval on that record, as well as her sophomore album. Questlove, a disciple in the fullest sense, shared his bittersweet first memory of Prince, attached to his mother's learning of her father passing. Then there's Anthony Hamilton, who toured as a back-up singer in D'Angelo's Soultronics ensemble in 2000 alongside Questo. Hamilton had a particularly hilarious first tale of being in the princely realm, when he, D and Ahmir were invited to Paisley Park to perform, but due to Prince's no-drink, no-meat, no-cursing, no-nothing policy at the time, D'Angelo turned down the offer with haste.

Thats' really only scratching the surface for this group therapy session, but you can see and hear it all for yourselves in the clip below. Stay tuned as we continue to bring you all the Prince reminiscences your heart can bear in the weeks and months to come.
