Prince and Nile Rodgers hit the stage together to perform a blazing cover David Bowie's 1983 smash "Let's Dance" - the disgustingly funky jam from the album of the same name - at Essence Music Festival 2014. Their performance of the heavily sampled and super infectious dance track came ahead of Prince's 24-song set as the headliner at the Super Dome. The Crescent City jam follows Prince's recent interview with Nile Rodgers for Essence Magazine and the release of Rodgers' new solo single "Do What You Wanna Do", which previewed at the top of the month ahead of its upcoming release via Cr2 Records. As if that weren't enough, a host of other artists came through during the festival weekend to rip the stage. Performances included appearances from Marsha Ambrosius, Jill Scott, Mary J. Blige and more. Check the footage below to watch the performance from Prince and Nile Rodgers. Pre-order "Do What You Wanna Do" via iTunes. Scroll down to see more from Essence Festival 2014.
