In addition to the recurrent signs that a Jay Electronica LP may be dropping imminently and the news yesterday that we may get not one but two LPs from Erykah Badu this year, we now have indication one of those may include a collaborative project from Ms. Badu and Jay Elec (who happens to be the father of her youngest daughter). The word came down from Mizz Badoula Oblongata herself via an interivew with the Huffington Post. Apparently the two have put down quite a few songs together but haven't come up with one that Badu is sure would make the LP. Read the relevant quote below (interesting choice of words) and hit HuffPo for the full interview, where she speaks in more detail about where she's at in the album process (no name yet), her involvement with the Rocket Juice & The Moon and The Cannibanoids LPs, respectively, as well as her role in Hennessy's "Wild Rabbit" campaign and her non-profit work.

On the album, can fans expect a collaboration between yourself and Jay Electronica?

Perhaps. We’ve done a lot of songs together, but sometimes you don’t like it or it doesn’t feel quite cohesive yet , but we’ve been working on it. We don’t have any plans, that kind of stuff just happens … He’ll have an idea and then I come in and put something down. And sometimes something comes, sometimes nothing ever comes. But we have a collection of those songs that we didn’t quite love.
