Nick Hakim Drops A Dreamy Clip For "The Light"

Nick Hakim takes us into a melancholic dream world in the video for “The Light,” off his Where Will We Go Pt 1 EP. You may recall the spooky blues of the cut from our First Look archive all those months ago, but Hakim has finally unveiled what may be his first official visual ever and to be frank, it’s quite stunning at times. A sort of synthesis between the deep loneliness of Eternal Sunshine Of  The Spotless Mind and the cosmic wonderment of Interstellar, somehow leaving your equal parts contemplative and subdued by guiding you through serene wintry portraits and wildly imaginative Dali-like landscapes splashed with his reverbed soul. The official video for Nick Hakim’s “The Light” was directed by fellow Brooklyn mainstay Terence Nance and it can be viewed down below. If you’ve yet to do so, go ahead and get familiar with your boy, grab a copy of his absolutely stunning Where Will We Go EPs on iTunes today and if you’re in the sleepless city come January, check out his residency at Mercury Lounge every Tuesday to get it live and direct. You can also purchase both EPs on wax as a full LP at Picadilly Records.
