Nick Hakim Drops Haunting New Single "Lift Me Up"

Nick Hakim comes through with some gritty piano-laden sonics with the release of his new single "Lift Me Up," off the forthcoming Where Will We Go Pt. 2 EP. As far as instrumentation is concerned, this one's strictly ivory, but booming with mountains of reverb, giving you an intimate soundscape that paints a rusted to perfection picture of the very room the track was recorded in. And just when the crackle of this acoustic ballad makes you feel a bit too distant, an added layer of Hakim's satiny croon drops into the mix, putting him right in your ear.

The BK-based bluesman is moving and shaking on the local scene, gearing up for the release of the sequel to his Where Will We Go EP, which is slated for a September 16th drop via his very own imprint Earseed Records.
