New Mystikal Song "Hit Me"
A brand new Mystikal song is probably the last thing you expected to see on Okayplayer, but the controversial N'awlins rapper just dropped "Hit Me," a fast-paced, throwback joint that is far too good for us to ignore. A live band propels the track to insane status while Mystikal demolishes the track, rapidly spitting his trademark ig'nant lyrics ("L-M-N-O-Bitches!") and paying tribute to James Brown and Michael Jackson.
If all of Mystikal's new songs have this kind of infectious and kinetic energy, he may just be able to resurrect his career after the sexual battery and extortion charges that left him locked up for most of the last ten years. However, with the proper push from the team at his new label, Cash Money Records, and more quality joints like "Hit Me," we're certain Mystikal will have no problems shaking asses from coast to coast like it was 2001 all over again.
