Neon Indian Reclaims The Boogie With New Single "The Glitzy Hive"
Electronic grooves-man Alan Palomo BKA Neon Indian is back, folks. After a few short years of hiatus, Palomo began to tease his third studio outing Vega Intl. Night School (a nod to his alter-musical-ego VEGA,) subsequently releasing two new singles in the island pop styles of "Annie" and the spacey disco funk cut "SLUMLORD." But today Palomo (who can rightfully be credited for defining what is known as "chill-wave" alongside Toro Y Moi with his debut Psychic Chasms in 2009,) is aiming for your boogie bone with his latest offering "The Glitzy Hive," which premiered this afternoon on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 program. The new joint is a perfect compliment to these final rooftop soirees of the season, built over bubbling synth-bass lines, driving drums, a flashy four-to-the-floor mid-song break and an infectious chant. All making for one choice little groove that should have you on your feet in no time at all.
