Neon Indian & Friends Celebrate Prince w/ A Bubbly Cover Of "Pop Life"
We know everyone's a little hurt by last night's Prince tribute at The Billboard Music Awards, but personally, I hope the purple salutes continue forevermore. Today, Alan Polomo (BKA Neon Indian) and a grip of chill wave luminaries have joined forces to deliver their own homage to Prince and his seemingly untouchable standard, performing "Pop Life" in fitting tribute. Along with members of Holy Ghost, Kristin Kontrol, Ejecta, Xenia Rubinos, Hannah Cohen, Midnight Magic and Adeline of Escort, Polomo celebrates an incomparable legacy and its eternal glow, where many tributes have fallen towards the mournful and sorrowful sort. It's just the latest example of this generation's musicians pledging their undying reverence for the icon, of which we hope there are countless others, as we continue remember Prince and all the incredible music he's bestowed upon us. Watch as Neon Indian & Co. perform a bubbly, spot-on cover of "Pop Life" down below and keep the love in full rotation.
