Nas, Pharrell, Kanye West And More Share Fashion Wisdom In The New Trailer For 'Fresh Dressed'
When we first caught a glimpse of Fresh Dressed, the new documentary from CNN and Mass Appeal dedicated to the history of hip-hop fashion, we were blown away by its depth and verve. The documentary traces back the lineage of today's styles, taking viewers all the way back to the way it was in Harlem during the heyday of Dapper Dan.
Despite the film's opening at Sundance, glimpses of Fresh Dressed has proven to be a difficult task for the public--until now. A brand new trailer has been released, and it features interview footage from a startling group of artists including Nas, Kanye West, Pharrell, Puff Daddy and more. "Being fresh is more important than having money," we hear Mr. West attest as the trailer opens. From there, the short preview clip blasts off into the 80s spray-painted jacket era, the baggy jeans, and the rise of hip-hop fashion labels. Rich in color and loaded with interview talent, Fresh Dressed truly is a must-see for any hip-hop head or fashionista with an internet connection. The film hits video on demand, as well as limited theatrical screenings, on June 26th. Watch the trailer below and stay tuned for more style tips by way of the FD crew.
