In his late age, Muhammad Ali has remained a deceptively-powerful voice in the continued struggle for equality and justice the world over. His physical voice may be crippled by Parkinsons, but that certainly hasn't stifled his reach or determination to put the good word out there when someone or something falls out of line and knocks the universal scales ajar. Recently, such a force has risen in the deplorable, hate-spewing ass with hands that is Donald Trump, particularly in regards to his newly-established (yet totally predictable) stance on Islam following the terrorist attacks perpetrated in Paris and San Bernardino. That stance is one that many have killed Hitler-esque in its call for a complete bar on Muslim immigration, revealing Trump to be an even greater bigot than most of us had already assumed he was.
Ali, timely and sharp as ever, issued an official statement addressing Trump's proposed ban and imploring the world to just consider that the bat-shit-crazy people that claim to be committing these unfathomable acts of terror in the name of Islam are not simply going against their own religion, but are practicing something that is not, in fact, Islam.
