Audio Premiere: Mugpush "Came Too Far" feat. Black Spade
For the latest OKP premiere, we’ve got a new jawn from Bay Area band Mugpush, who get a little help from Black Spade for their collabo joint, “Came Too Far.” Spade puts his journey in song form, from then to now, while Mugpush provide the funky backdrop. The track will appear on the upcoming Tempo Dreams Vol. 2 compilation, which will be curated by Teeko & B. Bravo (Vol. 1 was curated by OKP favorite Tall Black Guy) and released via Bastard Jazz. The series aims to showcase new styles and emerging artists, with curation from their own musical peers – and from what I’ve heard, they’ve done a great job of this, so far. Teeko & B. Bravo’s effort with volume 2 gives you a beautiful mix of soulful electronic funk, outernational boogie, and cosmic hip-hop. Tempo Dreams Vol. 2 will be out October 15th. You can pre-order via their bandcamp, the pre-order will also give you instant downloads of the 2 7″ tracks from Starship Connection (Teeko & B. Bravo) and K-Maxx.
