Last week Mobb Deep touched down in Europe for a stageshow at the venue Trianon and a string of surprise appearances (that's called "going guerillas") across Paris. No(w)FUTUR was on hand to DJ and document the Mobb's whole Parisian vacation, including this gallery of ever-crispy photos from Mr. Mass. Here's the full report:
Mobb Deep showed up in Paris--that was the first time for Prodigy in 9 years--and all the QB fanatics were there to celebrate at the Trianon. I didn't shoot that show 'cause I preferred actually enjoying it like the hip-hop stan that I am, still. The Livenation France show was sold out and even Mobb was surprised about the love the crowd showed them:
But the next day they came in as surprise guest for a more small ghetto basement lookalike party at Les Nuits Zebrees, sponsored by Radio Nova. Mobb took the crowd by surprise and made "The Temperature Rise(ing)" and SIMS closed the party for NOw FUTUR to finish the crowd off properly
On Saturday they ended up doin' a surprise showcase (once again) at Trocadero a few meters away from the Eiffel tower (Vive la France!) at the ‘Quai 54’ annual open air basketball tournament and finally ended up for an ultimate surprise showcase (again and again) for the 21st July which in France is ‘la fete de la musique’ day where you have parties dropped E-VE-RY-WHE-RE.
So to sum up, "It's been a long time"--maybe too long, like in the song--but Mobb Deep back to Paris was not a one shot, more like an invasion. Can’t wait to see them back at CHECK THE RHYME Festival in Nice on 2nd of August... - Mr. Mass.
...and stay tuned for exclusive coverage of that via No(W)FUTUR and Okayplayer!
