The sound of New York R&B vocalist Mizan comes to you like smooth amber: beautiful and icy to the touch. Preserved inside the songs of her gorgeous Dark Blue EP are ideas like heartache, fear and ecstasy—simple yet intense moments suspended indefinitely.
Now, Mizan is re-releaseing Dark Blue with the added bonus of a brand new song, the right-in-step single "7 Billion," which has also been given a brand new music video. In the clip we watch Mizan travel by train and on foot across forests, open fields and busy city streets. The point becomes clear—she's looking for something, but it's by no means guaranteed that she'll ever find it. With the world's population growing out of control, it's funny how one can feel ever-more-lonely even as 7 billion others inhabit our little terraqueous globe.
