Congratulations. You've made it to the first full work week of 2013. We've all got that clean slate mentality in our heads, so let's get this year off to a great start with your trusted Monday morning mixtape selections. This week's selections come from Mick Boogie, Benji B, and Robert Luis!
Tasked by adidas with creating a mixtape that would motivate Notre Dame's football team, Mick Boogie comes through with a tape full of anthems, many of them customized for the Fighting Irish. Joints from Donwill, A$AP Rocky, Rapper Big Pooh, Common, and 2 Chainz are certain to be kept in rotation in the locker room.
Benji B x Grant Windsor "Deviation - 2 January 2013"
BBC Radio's Benji B stepped things up a bit with his most recent broadcast, which included a live mix that saw Benji accompanied by arranger Grant Windsor and a 16-piece string ensemble. The mini-orchestra played on top of tracks by Dwele, Raphael Saadiq, Kanye West, and more. Definitely worth a listen!

Robert Luis "Sonic Switch Giraffe Mix"
As A&R and co-founder of Tru Thoughts records, not to mention the man behind those Nirobi edits that are in any good DJ's secret weapon stash, it comes as no surprise that Robert Luis' Sonic Switch Giraffe Mix is high quality. There's some neo-boogie (did I just make that up?) and some surprisingly welcomed drum & bass remixes.
