Mixtape Mondays: Peanut Butter Wolf, Bad Brains, Truth & Soul, LeFtO + akalepse!


This week's Mixtape Monday features an eclectic round up of mixes from Peanut Butter WolfBad Brains, LeFtO, akalepse, and Truth And Soul Records. Jumping off with a premiere of the most recent installment of Stones Throw's Mix Series, Peanut Butter Wolf  throws his collaboration with The Doctor's Orders our way including unreleased tracks from Madlib, Oh No and MED. Then Bad Brains drops Mixtape No. 179 featuring Darryl Jennings, a two hour mix of "classic, crucial rubba selections, the illest old school punk shit, the illest hip-hop old school screwed vintage shit , and unreleased D.C. shit." Next we have not one, but TWO episodes from LeFtO strutting his grasp of contemporary R&B and hip-hop and featuring some yet to be heard heat from the likes of  Pusha T and Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus, The Internet and Chance The Rapper.  Then we have a steamy mash of Detroit funk by akalepse and finally, to knock out your case of the Mondays give Truth And Soul Record's The Time Was Right mix a good gander, mixed by DeeJay Young Chris.  Get your fix for the work week after the drop.
