Missy Elliott Phones-In To Sway In The Morning, Discusses Her Super Bowl Performance, New Timbo Collaborations + More
Missy Elliott's resurgence at last weekend's halftime show for the gridiron classic didn't just go off without a hitch. It reacquainted the masses with her dynamite stage show and introduced the millennials to an artistry likely unseen in their short little lives, acting as the catalyst for a massive surge in sales (996% to be exact) with "Get Ur Freak On", "Work It" and "Lose Control" all landing in the iTunes charts. On today's episode of Sway In The Morning the legend rang-in to discuss the welcomed surprise of her reappearance, where she's been and what's next on deck for the queen.
The short answer; Missy's got plenty in the works to follow-up what was a seismic reintroduction at the most outlandish and animated (and most watched) halftime show ever. She explains that her and longtime collaborator Timbaland have been at it in the studio and prepping some potent new ism for the world to breathe in. Aside from the album update, it was all love this morning, praising the radio crew for all of their support during and after her hiatus.
