The legend of Iron Mike Tyson is about to get an animated companion script, as Adult Swim gears up for the fall premiere of it's upcoming series Mike Tyson Mysteries. While some of us thought that the teaser that popped up on the web this summer was just some fodder for our Saturday morning cartoon jones, the pioneering network is proving that it's more than serious about giving the heavyweight champ's follies a Hanna-Barbera treatment, the likes of which we've never seen.
The trailer finds Iron Mike and his motley crew traversing tundra, riding on the backs of white tigers, fighting dinosaurs and decoding messages from the notorious ear-biters highly-touted regime of carrier pigeons. Norm McDonald even finds himself voicing one of those feathered friends in a Brian from Family Guy pastiche that's sure to keep those hazy red eyes of yours smiling after hours. The series is set to debut Monday October 27th on Adult Swim and we're pretty sure this thing is going to hit hard, swinging like only Mike could.
