Miguel Tapped In As New Mentor on 'The Voice'
Miguel is slated to be an advisor to Cee-Lo Green’s team on this season of NBC’s “The Voice” (also joining the list of acclaimed advisors is Cher, Ed Sheeran, and Ryan Tedder.) This summer’s been filled with sonic appearances by Mig Money with the sultry single “Can’t Sleep Together” released through Adult Swim’s singles series and his duet with Janelle Monáe (whose LP The Electric Lady has finally been released). Now with his tenure on the top-rated TV show, Miguel follows in the footsteps of other OKP favorites who mentored on ‘Voice’ such as Robin Thicke, Bill Withers, Mary J. Blige, and Pharrell Williams. We’re excited to see what Miguel brings to Cee-Lo’s team and hopefully – with Miguel’s modern take on R&B- he’ll finally get Cee-Lo that big win. As Hollywood Reporter reports:
“Cher will serve as an adviser to Blake Shelton, whose finalists have won The Voice the past three seasons; Sheeran will work with returning coach Christina Aguilera; Tedder will team up with Adam Levine; and Miguel will work with Cee Lo Green.
This group of wildly successful musicians will add their distinctive talents to their respective teams,” said Paul Telegdy, president of late night and alternative programming at NBC Entertainment. “I know Christina, Adam, Cee Lo and Blake are very much looking forward to having them come aboard.”
