Beyoncé's Father Mathew Knowles Announces Destiny's Child Musical

A Destiny's Child musical is coming soon.

Mathew Knowles, Beyoncé's father, co-founder, and former manager of the iconic group announced he's working on "Survivor: The Destiny’s Child Musical" slated to hit stages in 2020.

Knowles made the announcement on Instagram on Tuesday, April 23rd, the three year anniversary of Beyoncé's legendary Lemonade release. He's collaborating with Je’Caryous Johnson, saying they have "plans for Broadway, London’s West End, and a world tour."

A post on Knowles' website states, "The bio-musical will bare an honest depiction of the achievements, obstacles, and evolution of the world’s most iconic girl group and the mastermind behind them."

“I want to pull back the curtain,” Knowles said in a statement. “I feel it’s time to give the world an opportunity to hear, see and feel the victories and failures that I’ve had as a husband, father and manager who risked everything in pursuit of fulfilling dreams – those of mine and others.”

“It is my mission to tell the stories of our legends and cement their legacies in the history of our world,” Johnson said in a statement.

There's been no word on who will be playing Beyoncé, Kelly RowlandMichelle WilliamsLeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson.
