The Independence Day celebration curated by Usher featured the pair reunited onstage in a recreation of the rural digs from their candlelit video; the makeshift set was made complete as Mariah Carey reclined on a trio of haystacks. Carey performed the song live, effectively squashing the scandal bubbling after what some considered a questionable performance from the singer at the 2013 BET Awards.
