This past Saturday evening found Stone Throw’s own, Madlib, chopping it up with the ever-intrepid, Chairman Mao, as part of RBMA‘s month-long NYC installment throughout May. Those that made it out to see the Oxnard, CA legend speak in rare form caught a truly exclusive peak into one of hip-hop’s greatest minds. And while we’ll have to wait for the full interview to be released (imminently according to their Facebook page) one note that you can carry with you until then is that according to Lib, there’s a new collaborative project with Freddie Gibbs in the works, tentatively-titled, Bandana, the sheer prospect of which should get you salivating in a hurry, specially for those of you still burning the grooves off your Pinata LP. Lib states that many of his unused The Life Of Pablo submissions will be prominently featured, so it appears that there will, in fact, be some more parties in LA.
All we can do now is hold tight. Believe when we tell you that you won’t want to miss it. And if we’re to take Gangsta Gibbs at his word, your boy’s ready.
