M.I.A. Shares Explosive Video For New Blaqstarr & Skrillex-Assisted Single "Go Off"
After much teasing and tormenting over the last few months, M.I.A. has officially announced that her new album AIM will arrive on September 9th. In preparation for the release, the Sri Lankan multi-threat has revealed the album's bombastic lead-off single, "Go Off," which features contributions from Baltimore club legend, Blaqstarr, and EDM's man-of-the-decade, Skrillex.
The video is a rather literal interpretation of the track, pairing the relentless boom and bass of the cut with actual explosions. "Go Off" arrives as a rather quick follow-up to last month's album sampler "POC THAT STILL A RYDA" and a Lion King-sampling loosie before that, all of which make for a welcome introduction to whatever AIM will bring with it.
