L'Orange and Stik Figa return with the official video for "Smoke Rings" from their forthcoming City Under The City LP, dropping October 15th via Mello Music Group. Their latest offering follows the arrival of their "Blind Tiger" single a few weeks back. The video - much like the project - is an exercise in chromatic subtlety that employs filters, shadows, contrasts and light to create a palette of muted colors that forces you to look a bit harder at the footage in order to properly identify the variations amidst the bright moments. L'Orange's gutter production provides the score to the scene as Stik Figa rhymes his way through an abandoned factory - no hooks or frills necessary. Their presence forces the eye to recognize the beauty jutting from the crevices of the blighted structure in a clip that might induce you to reconsider the difference between trash and treasure. Check the footage below to watch the video for "Smoke Rings" from L'Orange and Stik Figa. Pre-order the City Under The City LP via Mello Music Group. Stay tuned for more.
