Le1f hit the stage on the Late Show With David Letterman with a full band, including Blood Orange, to perform his heavy single “Wut” from the Hey EP which dropped March 11th via Terrible/XL Recordings. The performance preceded Le1f’s scheduled performances at the SXSW Music Festival tonight in Austin, Texas. The performance punctuated by fresh moves and fresh kicks found Le1f ripping the booming viral track, which appears on his latest project. His late-night invasion follows the success of the track and his follow-up single “Boom”, which arrived alongside news of him joining the XL roster. His performance on the Late Show was not only his network television debut, but the first from an openly gay rapper on a late-night show from a major network. Blazing trails as deftly as he blazed through the track, Le1f killed his set and followed with a gracious note of thanks to Letterman for hosting his performance:
thank you so much to @Letterman for inviting me to perform on his stage as a musician and not as a spectacle. that's major.
