Kwabs Look Over Your Shoulder Artwork
Clear-voiced and brimming with confidence, Kwabs continues to rise as the summer wears on. The British R&B phenom has just shared a brand new single, "Look Over Your Shoulder," and with it added a little gravitas to his highly dance-friendly catalog. Singing of the inevitable dangers of indulgence, lies, and running oneself ragged, Kwabs casts a light on shadowy games that fear can play on us if we're not careful. Dealing in a kind of 80s-tinged drama that harkens back to Michael Jackson, Phil Collins and Whitney Houston, the track isn't quite so blatant with its deployment of Kwabs's vocal might; while previous single including "Fight For Love" was a full-on onslaught from the 25-year-old, on "Look Over Your Shoulder" there's more patience and deception at work. Suffice to say it works beautifully, and the outcome is yet another fine addition to the Kwabs catalog. All the praise to SOHN, who handled production on the new track.
