This Mash-Up Of Kendrick Lamar's "King Kunta" & The 'Seinfeld' Theme Song Is Eerily Perfect

When Kendrick Lamar's critic-proof  To Pimp A Butterfly LP comes to mind, I bet the last thing to follow is your favorite Seinfeld episode. Well, some brilliant maven of musical mashing (in this case, Jack Dudley) was able to readily identify the eery and uncanny resemblance of the the sitcom king's iconic, bass-pop opening theme and Kendrick's swag-loaded early leak "King Kunta," then splice and dice the two as if they were always meant to be. The result is a bit unsettling, but certainly worth your ear's attention. I mean, even the key change works to the advantage of this unconventional, yet highly enjoyable mash-up. Call it sacrilege or blasphemy or what have you, but this is one earworm not worth passing up, even acting as a bit of a palate cleanser if you've been gorging on the greatness of TPAB ever since it's release. The album (which dropped out of the thin blue, exactly one week ago) has been enjoying a record breaking unveiling, smashing stream records and landing at the top of the chart in virtually every country that has one. You can listen to the Seinfeld theme tactfully stacked onto "King Kunta" below, just be sure to cop the original version in all of its glory on iTunes today to keep supporting the K Dot and his OKP All-Star lineup.
