Kanye West previewed his forthcoming LP Yeezus for a select group of industry insiders, tastemakers and team members on the loading dock outside of NYC's Milk Studios this week. The listening party follows major news of Rick Rubin's addition to the project at the eleventh hour as Kanye sought to round out the sound of the release, which was reportedly inspired by Rubin and his time at Def Jam. This project is one that Kanye hopes will serve as a soundtrack to life and the beginning of a new era dominated by a commitment to quality tunes. West explained that the title of the project is a deviation from his slave name and an affirmation of his god name. Yeezus features production from Daft Punk on three tracks as well as contributions from Chief Keef, King L, Justin Vernon, Arca and others. Check the footage below for the full explanation from Kanye. Yeezus drops on June 18th.
