Kanye West‘s new wave of creative energy continues. During his on-air interview with Power 105.1’s Breakfast Club, the MC-producer-designer revealed that he has plans to expand into the world of video gaming, with hopes of turning his recent Paul McCartney collab single “Only One” into a playable game.
“So right now I’m working on a video game for ‘Only One,’” West said in the later portion of the interview. “The idea is, it’s my mother going through the gates of heaven and you have to bring her to the highest gates of heaven by holding her to the light. We’ve been working on it for like six months.”
Avid fans of Ye’s work won’t be too surprised by these new claims–Kanye has always had an appetite for mediums beyond his comfort zone, and his mother’s tragic death from complications following plastic surgery has come to be one of the defining moments in his artistic life. What’s more, West’s wife already has a massively successful mobile game under her belt–could there be a bit of spousal competition in these new digital design dreams?
