The late rapper’s friends and peers also graced the stage and performed tracks created with him.
Juice WRLD‘s girlfriend Ally Lotti took to the stage at Rolling Loud Los Angeles to share a personal message with his fans.
The late rapper who passed earlier this month was set to perform at the festival on Sunday. Rather than a performance, the festival organizers scheduled a tribute which took place during his set. According to Stereo Gum, other rappers and friends of Juice WRLD also performed and spoke during this time slot.
When speaking of the rapper, Ally shared:
“Hello, I just wanted to come out here and let everyone know that Jarad loved every single person that he helped on this earth. He literally loved every single one of you guys. There’s not a time that he had showed me any different love that he felt for you. He wants everyone to know that you need to take any negative thing in your life—he would tell you every time he saw you—and change that to a positive situation. Change that to 999. You gotta keep that in your heart.”
Additional appearances included A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie who performed “Demons And Angels” and Ski Mask The Slump God performed “Nuketown.” G Herbo, a mentor to Juice WRLD did “Honestly.” Each of these songs were original tracks done with the late rapper. Producer Benny Blanco, video director Cole Bennett, and YBN Cordae also spoke candidly on the artist.
