John Legend talks to Chelsea Lately about strippers
JohnLegend stopped by the set of Chelsea Lately, to discuss his engagement to model, Chrissy Tiegan, his newly released album Love in The Future and playing the piano naked. It appears a five-year hiatus has treated the poly-threat artist well. Mr. Legend chimed in on how he had to dodge customs to secure his fiancee's engagement ring, keeping it patently cool and proposing to Chrissy in the Maldives. He divulged some details about his bachelor party and how, at first, Chrissy warned him against the implementation of strippers but upon his compliance got him the gift that keeps on giving by sending strippers to the soiree herself.
All strippers aside, the 9-time Grammy Award winning singer and songwriter spoke on his highly-anticipated new album, which features a star studded list of collaborations including production by Pharrell and Kanye West, as well as Bobby Caldwell, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, 88-Keys, Q-Tip and Kimbra. He talked with Chelsea about his humble beginnings, singing with an acapella group at a nude beach in Jamaica during his collegiate years. His viral Funny or Die skit naturally came up, assuring us that if we were to come to his architecturally acclaimed home, he would indeed be fully clothed (however, his nudity is apparently available upon request).
