Jesse Boykins III Drops Surprise 'Bartholomew' LP ft. Syd Tha Kid, Isaiah Rashad + More
It's been a minute since we caught up with Jesse Boykins III. But let's not mistake absence for stagnancy, as it appears the bi-coastal r&b futurist has been hard at work in the time between. Today he's shared the massive new project Bartholomew, which has been teased with EPs and collaborations for over a year now. But today the album/mixtape arrives as a surprise release featuring the likes of Syd Tha Kid, Isaiah Rashad, J* Davey, Mick Jenkins, Little Simz, Dej Loaf and, somehow, even more than that.
Bartholomew arrives as a proper follow-up to 2014's Love Apparatus and Zulu Guru before that. Those of you that have been let down by Frank Ocean's radio silence, should find solace in this release, especially with such a heavy presence of west coast musicians lining the credits.
