After dropping the sunny anthem on us just yesterday, the android songstress Janelle Monáe drops some animated visuals on us for "What Is Love," her Carnival-inspired contribution of sambaed funk to the upcoming Rio 2 OST.  The video implements a new mix that really sells its Brazilian steez with a whole new rhythm section, while maintaining the "Funky Nassau" styles with an ill driven chop on the guitar. The visuals blend shots of the funky android in-studio with playful cuts from the film, validating one thing, if nothing else; that Miss Monáe's determined to build the bridge to the funk's past for your children and your children' children. Peep the video for Janelle Monáe's "What Is Love" below and don't miss her as she's slated to electrify at this year's Roots Picnic. Preorder begins this Friday over at RootsPicnic.com .
