Video Premiere : Jakubi - "Couch Potato" + US Tour Dates
Australia's sunny soul clique Jakubi comes through with a bright set of visuals for their latest single "Couch Potato" off their forthcoming debut EP. The track blends shades of vintage soul with the edge of a hip-hop break to the effect of one of the cleanest and most pronounced sonic stamps we've come across as of late, falling somewhere between Jamiroquai's subversive funk and Bruno Mars' pop-spinned r&b. The video treatment has a bit of an old-soul feel to it as well, following the sedated beauty on a couch-locked romp, flying through the street and catching people's eyes and ears. The Melbourne 5-piece will be embarking on a US tour, the dates for which can be found down below. Keep your eyes peeled fam, I think we'll be hearing plenty more from this Aussie crew.
