I/O
Few things would make me happier than consistently getting new music from NYC based singer, I/O. Everything this man has put out has been gold, so I’ll just appreciate the music as it comes. Yesterday, he came through with another gem by way of his latest video, “Stay Close 2 U.” The powerful beat of the djembe drum fuels the track with some accompanying spoken word from South African poet Lazarus Man, matched with Matthias Brown’s sketch based visuals we get the best ish I’ve heard from I/O in a minute (that last joint was tight). No word on his next project yet, but if this jawn is any indication, we’ve got much to look forward to (in the meantime, go listen to Isolation again).
