Okayafrica Video: Watch The Ibeyi Sisters Interview Themselves

Ibeyi AKA sisters Naomi & Lisa-Kainde Diaz have been dazzling us since first listen. So much so that we invited them down to our SXSW takeover to dish out their Afro-Cuban soul over the sweat-soaked masses. While we were down there, Okayafrica managed to catch up with them for a rare and intimate interview, arguably a one-of-a-kind format, since only mildly telepathic twins could take turns as the perfect subject and interviewer of this revealing session, without already knowing the answers. Naomi and Lisa-Kainde opened up about life on the road, living the dream and who they would choose as romantic partners for one another. Sounds cutesy but it's more "come play with us" than Parent Trap, the sisters Diaz being quite a magnetic force on and off the stage. And if you missed the sisterly duo in Austin, you can catch them this Saturday in Central Park at our very own SummerStage shindig with Sunni Colón and Jungle. Watch as the lovely Ibeyi interview one another and peep their extensive tour dates below. Cop their stud self-titled debut on iTunes today.
