Hodgy Beats Gets Fed In His New Video For "Hunger"

Odd Future denizen Hodgy Beats has returned with a brand new video for "Hunger". The clip, which was directed by Hunter Lyon, takes viewers on a guided tour of Hodgy's native Trenton, New Jersey, from its long metal-lattice bridges to the backstreets to Hodgy Beats's own private pad to a harshly-lit Chinese restaurant. It's in that last location that we spend most of our time—this is, after all, a video for a track entitled "Hunger". It's only natural that we get a little on-camera nosh.

As a track, "Hunger" is one of Hodgy Beats's finest offerings, sparse and tribal in its production with flutes and dry flickering in all directions. All credit to Scoop Deville for the beatmaking work, which gives the 25-year-old MC ample open space from which to spit raspy bars. The word is we're only a few weeks away from the release of a new free project, and that following that hook-up there'll be another proper album from HB.

For now, "Hunger" is more than enough to satisfy one's appetite. Watch the video in full below and, when you're done cleaning your plate and wiping your chin, catch yourself up on what Hodgy's been up to lately.
