Hodgy Beats Cements Odd Future's Demise, Claims Is A "Fraud" Onstage
With speculation long-looming over the fracturing of influential west coast collective Odd Future, it appears that hopes of their continued bond were dealt a final blow at what was intended to be a reunion show of sorts this past weekend at figurehead Tyler The Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw Festival.
Performers included a who's-who of left coast icons, including Snoop Dogg, Flying Lotus and virtually the entire OFWGKTA crew, as well as rising stars like The Internet, TOKiMONSTA, Mr. Carmack and a grip of others, aiming to solidify itself as the late-fall go-to for concert-goers. But the night proved that the vibe can often be misleading as their was clearly tension mounting behind-the-curtain, busting to the forefront when Day One Odd Future cohort Hodgy Beats threw mountains of shade at the face of the camp, who was also slated to perform a set just after his own, calling TTC out for abandoning his crew and harshly stamping him a "fraud" as his own festival. Tyler, of course, fired back during his own performance, which you can see and hear at the 39:00 mark in the video below.
