Happy 44th Birthday, Questlove!

Our own Ahmir Questlove Thompson celebrates his birthday today, January 20th. The year was 1971...the place was the City of Brotherly Love i.e. Philadelphia and the weather, it's safe to say, was cold booty. Doo wop, it's also safe to say, was playing on the stereo when this particular funky child entered the world, just about the same time Mr. Gamble and Mr. Huff had the idea to found a record label dedicated to Philly Soul. That would make our beloved Questo...(let's see...2001, 2011...okay, math, we can do it.) a youthful 44 years old today. And y'all know what that means! Next year, it's all 45s. Nothing but rare 7-inch vinyl pressing will be played. For the entire year. But, seriously...Happy Birthday, Questlove! That is all.
