The Governer's Ball Music Festival went down this past weekend on Randall's Island in New York City to the tune of great anticipation after a brief delay came at the behest of quite a bit of gloomy weather. A little mud wasn't enough to stop the festival as the venue played host to a massive list of acts on Saturday and Sunday after sitting Friday out on account of the relentless torrential rain that slammed the area. Cramming a dope lineup into two days was enough of a feat with acts like
Guns & Roses,
Nas,
Azealia Banks,
The XX,
Erykah Badu,
Gary Clark Jr. and more packing the event grounds and tents. Even more impressive was the festival finale, which featured
Kanye Westdropping new tracks from his forthcoming LP Yeezus. The Governors Ball main stage crowd may have had some of the best seats in the house as Kanye gave them a pretty cool preview of what he's got up his sleeve. Those debuts would ultimately serve as a precursor to
the listening session Kanye West held for the project in New York City last night. All of the madness and dope music at The Governors Ball was captured by our awesome photographer
