GloRilla Responds After Stampede At NY Concert Left 1 Dead


GloRilla has addressed reports that a crowd stampede left one dead and nine injured at her concert in Rochester, New York on Sunday night.

The reports were confirmed by Associated Press. According to the publication, audience members allegedly thought there was a shooting after the concert ended at 11 PM, leading to a crowd surge to the exits at Rochester’s Main Street Armory venue. Upon entering the venue, police found three women critically injured, including a 33-year-old who ultimately died at the hospital. Seven other people were treated for for non-fatal injuries, but law enforcement found no evidence of gunshots or stabbings at the event.
“What began last night as a night of live music and fun for the performer GloRilla ended in tragedy with one person dead and two more fighting for their lives,” Police Chief David M. Smith said at a new briefing on Monday. Smith also added that multiple causes for the incident are being investigated, including “possibly crowd size, shots fired, pepper spray and other contributing factors.”
