Jason Scott Henderson, commonly known as GETOVERHER, has been an integral part of New York's underground music scene for over 10 years. In that time he's developed his own artistry, having recently toured with Beyoncé producer MeLo-X and refining his sultry baritone vocal delivery that produces memorable melodies and good lyrics.

A testament to that is "Pour Femme," the latest single from Henderson's forthcoming debut album BLACKWATCHSAD. Sonically, a lot is going on: there's the bubbly arpeggiated synths that start everything off, only for the track to transform into a combination of shrill electronic hi-hats and booming bass. The grime instrumental (which is produced by DJ Mario Bee) pairs well with Henderson, with his voice adding a sense of foundation to everything that's happening. "I shouldn't be lookin' for love / My focus so fucked up," he croons at the very beginning, and slowly you understand what this song represents: the euphoria of a new love and ultimately discovering the partner of your dreams.

"'Pour Femme' is about the ideal woman I want to be with," Henderson says. "The song is based on experiences with a handful of great women I've dated, celebrated and sadly even mistreated. For better or for worse, I'm always chasing that feeling of meeting a new woman I can connect with. That euphoric feeling of butterflies in your stomach along with being high and in love."

The video for "Pour Femme" only emphasizes this point further, as bright lights flash in darkness and fireworks ascend into a night sky. The visuals speak to nightlife culture and the spontaneous joys of it all: dancing with someone; engaging in conversation with someone; and maybe getting intimate with someone. They might just become a flash, a moment that's here and gone the next. But they could also become a part of you in ways you never expected.

BLACKWATCHSAD drops October 28 and will feature production from Kingdom, MNTN, Snappy Jit, Helix and more.
