The search for your summer anthem is over folks and Rhode Island songbird Elisa Coia is to thank. The 23-year-old do-it-all has been quietly sharpening her talents over the years, but it appears it's finally time to get properly acquainted with a surreal new clip for her infectious debut single "This Human Ache." Taking stylistic cues from Heathers and Czech arthouse flick Fruit Of Paradise, Coia builds a dream-like aesthetic, perfectly paired to the airy r&b of her cut, which stands as a brilliant introduction to a voice that soars with the greats, but remains distinctly her own without ever trying too hard. "This Human Ache" is chock-full of infectious melodics, left-leaning, synth-touched production and a groove so tight that it'll surely carry you through the season without a care in the world. The track offers an early glimpse at her forthcoming three-track EP These Days, which has yet a release date, but you know precisely where to find it when the word gets out. Watch as the lovely Elisa Coia struts supreme in the dreamy video for "This Human Ache" below and hold tight as we continue to chart this rare talent on the come-up.
