Tune-Yards Perform Live on PBS "Austin City Limits" [Full Episode]

Experimental folk/r&b/funk collective (and honorary OkayafricanTune-Yards (spelt like tUne-yArDs) were profiled on the latest episode of PBS live performance show "Austin City Limits" alongside indiepop favorites (and Roots Picnic headlinersEdward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. Frontwoman, vocalist, and founder of the group Merrill Garbus showcases her powerful voice while deftly mixing live drum & vocal loops to construct her live performance, including backing from an additional two-man saxophone unit to perform four tracks from their latest album w h o k i l l. The eclectic mix of styles found in the Tune-Yards music is interesting enough alone, but Garbus' live mixing and layering are worth consideration on their own. PBS has been kind enough to host the full episode for a short time, which you can check out below.
