Trey Songz Accused of Sexual Assault, Alleged Victim Says She Experiences "Unbearable PTSD"

Dylan Gonzalez, a former University of Nevada, Las Vegas basketball player has come forward to share she's hired an attorney. Gonzalez alleges she has experienced "unbearable PTSD" following an incident of sexual assault at the hands of Trey Songz.

Dylan Gonzalez has reportedly hired an attorney to represent her in a potential sexual assault case involving Trey Songz, per a statement she shared on Twitter.

The former University of Nevada, Las Vegas basketball player wrote the following:

“With what seems like endlessly recurring news of the alleged sexual assault committed by Trey Songz, I am forced to repeatedly relive in my mind, and suffer anew, the long-suppressed horror and unbearable PTSD of my rape by his very hands at a well-known Las Vegas Hotel.”

On New Year’s Eve Gonzalez accused Songz (real name: Tremaine Neverson) of being a rapist in a tweet that is still on her official account on the platform. “Trey Songz is a rapist,” she wrote of the singer without divulging any additional details. Gonzalez is currently exploring her legal options with attorney George Vrabeck.

Per The Daily Beast, the alleged rape happened around nine years ago. The publication reports: “Gonzalez’s claim against Songz is separate from an alleged sexual assault case that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police is currently investigating, stemming from an incident that occurred at the Cosmopolitan Hotel while the singer was celebrating his 37th birthday in early December.”

Over the scope of the last few months, Gonzalez and another woman have come forward and called out Songz. Jauhara Jeffries refiled a civil suit in December alleging that Songz assaulted her at a Miami club. This incident reportedly took place in 2018 on New Year’s Day.

Jeffries previously sued the R&B singer without disclosing her full name. Eventually, she decided to release her name, according to her attorney, Ariel Mitchell. Mitchell released this statement on this choice, “She doesn’t want to hide behind the Jane Doe, she doesn’t want to be ashamed of what happened to her.”

Vrabeck released the following in regards to Dylan and her efforts to speak up for herself:

“We admire Dylan’s courage and willingness to stand up for herself and others. And like Jauhara Jeffries, Dylan is no longer willing to suffer in silence. We intend to pursue Dylan’s claims relentlessly and to a successful conclusion.”

These are not isolated incidents, in ten years, Songz has been accused of physical and sexual assault on multiple occasions. Read an extensive report on his behavior here
