Drake pays his respects to Shiggy.
Drake’s latest single, “In My Feelings,” off his new album Scorpion has reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart thanks to the viral #InMyFeelings #DoTheShiggydance challenge sparked by Instagram comedian, The Shiggy Show.
On Monday night, Drake posted a photo with Shiggy to Instagram captioned, “Met the legend on the night we went number one.”
The rapper also shared footage of his meeting Shiggy on his instastory, where he can be heard saying, “Oh my goodness. Man got me a No. 1 record today.”
Odell Beckham Jr., appeared to be the first notable celebrity to propel the dance craze. Since then, stars like Will Smith, Ciara, Lala and more participated.
This week, “In My Feelings” toppled Drake’s “Nice For What,” taking the top spot on the Hot 100.
During its first week, all 25 of Scorpion‘s songs debuted on the Hot 100 chart, and Drake broke a Beatles record with seven simultaneous Top 10 songs. It’s the first album in history to hit one billion global streams in its first week.
