Pass The Popcorn: Dr. Dre To Star In & Produce Apple's First-Ever Original Series, 'Vital Signs'

Is it too early to say that the doctor is in? In a hardly surprising turn of events, Dr. Dre and Apple appear to be leveling-up their already highly-symbiotic relationship. The man who brought the Beats to Cupertino will also be at the helm of the tech giant's very first outing in the world of television programming, as today it was announced that he'll both star in and produce the show, Vital Signs, which will apparently be a semi-autobiographical six-episode series, using each episode to convey a different emotion. According to Stereogum, legendary music video director, Paul Hunter (whose credits include iconic visuals for Biggie, Aaliyah, A Tribe Called Quest and, well, too many more to name in these few hundred words) will be heavily involved in the series' development. A defined timeline has yet to surface for the project, but we're hearing that the summertime is looking ripe for a big reveal. Until then, you can just sit back and revel in the fact that Anderson .Paak is the latest Aftermath signee by spinning his breakout record Malibu, dreaming of what he and the doctor may have in store for us down the line.
