Donald Glover Wakes Up Again And Again And Again In New "Atlanta" Trailer

Review: Donald Glover Impressively Delivers New Vibes With FX's 'Atlanta'

Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) is on a roll. The actor, musician, and writer has been cast to play Simba in the new upcoming Disney remake of Lion King. Director Jon Favreau took to Twitter to announce the news. Veteran actor James Earl Jones will play the role of Mufasa. Jones voiced Mufasa in the original 1994 Lion King. Favreau directed 2016’s live action remake of The Jungle Book. Glover’s schedule is pretty busy considering he is also working on the forthcoming Han Solo Star Wars film for which he’s cast as a young Lando Calrissian. Stay tuned for more information regarding the remake of Lion King in the weeks and months to come. Gambino dropped his funky and soulful third studio album Awaken My Love! back in December of 2016 via GlassnoteHead here to revisit Gambino’s performance of his single “Redbone” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. If you haven’t already pre-order your copy of Childish Gambino’s stellar album “Awaken, My Love!” on vinyl (via The Shop).
