West Coast Legend DJ Quik Shares Visuals For New Single "Pet Sematary"

G-Funk pioneer DJ Quik comes through with a set of visuals for his true-to-form cut "Pet Sematary" off the forthcoming The Midnight Life LP. Immediately the track's cooled-out production invokes the sunshine sentiments of Blessed Coast champions, but the grammar here takes a deceptively dark turn. Instead of riding out the vibe-heavy number, Quik hits us with that dastardly delivery, juxtaposing the slow soul-burn of the groove with a tuff verbal treatment that keeps up with the best of them. His ninth studio album The Midnight Life hits physical and digital shelves next week and it seems that it's already shaping up to be a formidable follow-up to 2011's The Book Of David. It's available to preorder via iTunes today, so be sure to cop.
