Dizzy Wright Interview with Hard Knock TV

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Fresh off the release of his much talked about mixtape, The Golden Age, we now get a sit-down with the man behind the music, Dizzy Wright. The Vegas emcee chops it up with Hard Knock TV on a number of interesting topics. Dizzy speaks about Bone Thugs N Harmony's (specifically Krayzie Bone) influence on him, writing poetry before getting into rap, his mom ghostwriting for him until he was about 12, time spent in a homeless shelter as a youth and the perspective it gave him that he still carries to this day. Dizzy goes on to speak on how the book, The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Angel Ruiz, helped inspire his EP, The First Agreement. The clip ends with Dizzy addressing the Wiz Kahlifa comparisons he often gets (weed and tattoos is pretty much all they have in common). Very insightful shit, watch part 1, below, and look for part 2 of the interview to come on Friday.
